Racecar Project

Explore Concepts & Careers around RACECARS before building / testing one of your own!
Category

5 Instructional Videos
Estimated Length
~3 Hours of Programming

Objective:
Students will apply principles of physics, motion, and energy transfer to design, construct, and test a racecar powered by mechanisms such as a mousetrap, rubber band, or balloon.🏎️🚗

Set in the growing city of STIIX-Ville, students are tasked with developing innovative vehicles to support the town’s expanding highway system. Through this challenge, students will explore kinetic and potential energy, friction, and mechanical advantage while documenting their design process and evaluating the performance of their cars📝

Although this specific project is not on there, check out our optional Augmented Reality app, STIIXVille. In it, students can bring concepts & careers to life for 6 other of our other STIIX projects.🤳
